Minor Emergency's Blog

First Gig of the Season

The members of Minor Emergency have been working hard to plan a date that worked to play at the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs.  The HRH has an excellent manager in Esjay Jones.  She knows of the band and has asked us several times to play.  Each of us have been so disappointed to have it not work out several times due to other commitments on our end.

Zoe, Brayden, Luke and Jake are so excited to have it work out to perform this Saturday, September 2nd at 10 PM as part of Esjay's Hard Rock Global Lounge Sessions.  We are looking forward to entertaining the guests and visitors to the Hard Rock Hotel.  We hope to see all of our regular fans out there for a fun time.  The show begins at 8:00 PM and runs until midnight with Minor Emergency going on about 10 PM.

See you Saturday night!!

Summer 2017

It has been a busy summer for all members of Minor Emergency.  Zoe was busy at a top notch summer camp for piano.  She also spent time preparing for her new band adventures in the upcoming school year.  Brayden, Luke and Jake spent time in the local Academy of Musical Performance which is a rock band summer camp.  Jake also prepared for high school by doing some Geometry over the summer as well as the beginning of AP Music Theory.  Family vacations were had by all.  Brayden had to send another older sister off to college.  Each member of the band is ready to dive back into their school work, music lessons and of course performing together as Minor Emergency.  As our calendar is just beginning, please don't hesitate to contact for your upcoming event!

Minor Emergency plays Mike's Retirement Party

We were all so excited to be a part of a huge celebration!  Mike was part of the California Highway Patrol for 28 years.  The venue was gorgeous...the stage was cool...the food was amazing...their family and friends were so sweet to us.  What a fun time!!  A big thank you to Mike and Selene.  Also a big thank you to our parents, aunts, grandma, friends who came out to get us set up.

Can't wait to play Whole Foods this Sunday at 4:00 pm. Go inside, get something to eat, grab a drink and bring it all out to the patio for some of our favorite classic rock tunes. Excited to break out some new songs.  Come on out for Minor Emergency!!!

We appreciate each and every one of you!!

111 Music Festival - ME on a BUS!

On December 3, 2016, Minor Emergency was asked to participate in the 111 Music Festival.  This festival support the local bus system, Sunline Transit Authority, and the local arts community, Coachella Valley Arts Scene and CREATE.  Minor Emergency started by performing a 45 min set on the stage at the CREATE facility.  The room was set with unique art on the walls for sale to support the CREATE space.  There were all kinds of stations for people to create their own art while they are there.  When Minor Emergency took the stage, we had a great crowd come on over to hear us play.  We were so excited to engage the audience and have fun with them.  The fun and funny part is that 3-4 people were standing up right by the stage filming the band.  We ALWAYS love new fans.

Then we rushed over to the bus and played a fun somewhat unplugged set for a short run on the bus.  There were many bands waiting to board the buses.  It was so fun talking to the other bands about how they plan to do their sets on the bus.

I hope that you will go to the YouTube channel and enjoy seeing us on a stage and on a bus!!!

Getting ready for King's School and Faith Community Church

Brayden, Zoe, Luke and Jake are having an amazing time learning some new music for their shows at King's School's Bear Night and the Sunday morning service for Faith Community Church.  These musicians are used to play it loud as they belt out the classic rock that they usually tackle.  It is a wonderful challenge for them to learn some new softer Christina music.

Meanwhile, they are each also working on songs for Mikaelpalooza in June which involve everything from Elvis to Fall Out Boy to Green Day!!
